Tribe Body focuses on teaching the art of dance and
developing dance skills for people of all ages.
We have found that when people are taught the language of dance,
their lives grow and their horizons expand.
Tracy Flaherty is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of three. She started her dance experience at the Irene Fokine School in Ridgewood, NJ where a lifelong passion and commitment to the art of dance was born.
Tracy’s dance training includes the Irene Fokine School of Ballet; Joffrey School of Ballet, The American Ballet School; and the American Dance Machine. Tracy’s professional credits include being an Equity member with the American Dance Machine where she was under the direction of the famed Broadway musical choreographer and performer, Lee Theodore. Other credits include commercials, movies, and special events such asb ABC Omnibus Theatre, and the Chita Riveria Tribute. Over the years Tracy has performed with Dick Cavet, Paul Sorvino, Gwen Verdon, Lucy Arnez, Anne Reinking, Chita Riveria and Syd Charisee.

It’s so great to find a real adult dance class. I have never been able to find a class where I feel like I belong but your adult classes are perfect.
I took Sophia’s lyrical class. She was so wonderful and patient. She took the time to review and explain the choreography so everyone felt comfortable.
I love that classes are recorded and I can take them whenever it is convenient. I work when most classes take place so this has been such a gift!
There are a variety of class offering. Tribe has something for everyone! There isn’t a dance studio around for adults with such an amazing professional staff. It is truly a gem of a studio!

THanks for allowing me to escape mentally and physically from this unrpecedented quarantine we are all finding ourselves in. I needed that 60 min escape from my life, my kids, and my husband… and even though I may have danced like someone who has never danced before, I felt just the opposite and didn’t care. I’ll be signing up again for sure. Thank you again!!

Amanda is an awesome aerial instructor. Aerials are a very difficult skill and she makes it seem easy. I only took 2 classes and it was very encouraging, I feel like I learned a lot and I definitely want to do it again. Thank you.
Tribe classes are exhilarating and so much more than a workout. The instructors bring the music to life and draw out the dancer in everyone! And, it just so happens, it’s a most wonderful workout.
I love everything about Tribe! It is a sisterhood of women whose passion is dance. We are here for each other to celebrate the good times & to be there for each other during the challenging times in life! Throughout it all, Tracy and all of her teachers do everything possible to take care of us physically, socially & emotionally. Currently to survive this situation, she has reached out to us through Virtual Dance classes. They are truly our silver lining in our days. I can’t thank Tracy, Sky, Sophia & Marie enough for their creativity, patience and dedication to being there for all of us. We love & appreciate all of them!! The Tribe Body atmosphere was so inviting from the moment I walked in and of course my amazing aerial instructor Amanda who teaches Thursday nights at 7pm is sweet,calming,and great in showing entire class how to just have fun! The level of dance instruction is superior. The dancers don’t just learn one dance for a year end performance but rather learn how to dance in all styles. The environment is supportive and collaborative and is lead by excellent talented teachers who place the emphasis on learning and mastering dance and foster a positive environment. Tribe also brings in nationally recognized choreographers to work with the dancers and expand their repertoire of dance styles! We are am super grateful to be part of such an exceptional dance studio!
