Tribe Body focuses on teaching the art of dance and
developing dance skills for people of all ages.
We have found that when people are taught the language of dance,
their lives grow and their horizons expand.
Tracy Flaherty is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of three. She started her dance experience at the Irene Fokine School in Ridgewood, NJ where a lifelong passion and commitment to the art of dance was born.
Tracy’s dance training includes the Irene Fokine School of Ballet; Joffrey School of Ballet, The American Ballet School; and the American Dance Machine. Tracy’s professional credits include being an Equity member with the American Dance Machine where she was under the direction of the famed Broadway musical choreographer and performer, Lee Theodore. Other credits include commercials, movies, and special events such asb ABC Omnibus Theatre, and the Chita Riveria Tribute. Over the years Tracy has performed with Dick Cavet, Paul Sorvino, Gwen Verdon, Lucy Arnez, Anne Reinking, Chita Riveria and Syd Charisee.

Classes are fun and intense which allows for anyone to challenge themselves and get in amazing shape. They have risen to the occasion during the pandemic and now offer Zoom classes which gives me the flexibility to fit the class into my busy schedule.
The level of dance instruction is superior. The dancers don’t just learn one dance for a year end performance but rather learn how to dance in all styles. The environment is supportive and collaborative and is lead by excellent talented teachers who place the emphasis on learning and mastering dance and foster a positive environment. Tribe also brings in nationally recognized choreographers to work with the dancers and expand their repertoire of dance styles! We are am super grateful to be part of such an exceptional dance studio!

There are a variety of class offering. Tribe has something for everyone! There isn’t a dance studio around for adults with such an amazing professional staff. It is truly a gem of a studio!

Classes are excellent, fun and challenging!
I thought the dancers and itinerary were awesome. My daughter felt a little isolated however, and while I realize it’s hard to bond with people over a few days, perhaps there could be some more interaction or making sure the kids are having fun together and not just in their own little cliques.

Tribe classes are exhilarating and so much more than a workout. The instructors bring the music to life and draw out the dancer in everyone! And, it just so happens, it’s a most wonderful workout.
Yesterday was my daughters first class at Tribe. The studio was clean, everyone was friendly and helpful, and she loved the class!
I take Dancers Body and this class is without doubt the BEST full body conditioning work out!!! I have worked with other trainers over the years. Tracy and Dancers Body is far superior. Great teacher. Great location. Great ambiance. Highly recommend!!!! Juliette

I love Tribe. Amazing, NYC quality dance classes, teachers and students are wonderful people. I can’t get enough of my tribe classes and feel so blessed to be able to take fantastic dance classes close to home. I searched for a studio like tribe for years and years. I don’t believe there is anything else like it in NJ. Don’t delay… take a class. You won’t be sorry!
I love going to Tribe! It is the only serious dance studio for adults. Have been going there for years & learned so much. Always feel challenged with a variety of dance styles & options such as Latin & Rockette jazz.

I’ve been coming to Tribe for about 7 years now. The classes are fun and energetic. The studio is clean, and beautifully decorated for a zen environment. They have done a great job continuing to provide fun classes during this unfortunate pandemic. I wish I could attend more classes, it really is a joyful place.
Tribe Body is a great studio! Great teachers! If you don’t want to travel to New York to take the highest level of dance, you don’t have to. Just go to Tribe Body! You will receive the highest level of proficiency with teachers who will give you the personal attention you will never get in New York. Having been a dancer my whole life, this is one of the only studios to provide a class for me that gives me the dance workout and choreography I can’t get anywhere else.
We’ve recently joined Tribe and I’ve been very impressed by the teachers and the staff in general. Very welcoming, professional, warm and friendly. My daughter loves her classes!
