Tribe Body focuses on teaching the art of dance and
developing dance skills for people of all ages.
We have found that when people are taught the language of dance,
their lives grow and their horizons expand.
Tracy Flaherty is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of three. She started her dance experience at the Irene Fokine School in Ridgewood, NJ where a lifelong passion and commitment to the art of dance was born.
Tracy’s dance training includes the Irene Fokine School of Ballet; Joffrey School of Ballet, The American Ballet School; and the American Dance Machine. Tracy’s professional credits include being an Equity member with the American Dance Machine where she was under the direction of the famed Broadway musical choreographer and performer, Lee Theodore. Other credits include commercials, movies, and special events such asb ABC Omnibus Theatre, and the Chita Riveria Tribute. Over the years Tracy has performed with Dick Cavet, Paul Sorvino, Gwen Verdon, Lucy Arnez, Anne Reinking, Chita Riveria and Syd Charisee.

Absolutely great class from Giulia…was really alarmed that no one was wearing masks inside though! Will wait until pandemic is over to take more in person classes

THanks for allowing me to escape mentally and physically from this unrpecedented quarantine we are all finding ourselves in. I needed that 60 min escape from my life, my kids, and my husband… and even though I may have danced like someone who has never danced before, I felt just the opposite and didn’t care. The Tribe Body atmosphere was so inviting from the moment I walked in and of course my amazing aerial instructor Amanda who teaches Thursday nights at 7pm is sweet,calming,and great in showing entire class how to just have fun! I would definitely recommend this facility and sign up for more classes! Noi P.
Tribe classes are exhilarating and so much more than a workout. The instructors bring the music to life and draw out the dancer in everyone! And, it just so happens, it’s a most wonderful workout.
I love the lessons and that I can do the class from home up to 24 hours after!

Tribe has done an extraordinary job during this time of COVID to provide their usual high-quality classes online via ZOOM, while still offering these in-studio classes to a small number, wearing masks. It is comforting and energizing to be on Zoom, see our beloved studio and teachers, and still feel the energy of the teaching and the music and the dance coming through our screens. That said, we all hope to be back physically in the studio as soon as it is safe for everyone!
I love Tribe. Amazing, NYC quality dance classes, teachers and students are wonderful people. I can’t get enough of my tribe classes and feel so blessed to be able to take fantastic dance classes close to home. I searched for a studio like tribe for years and years. I don’t believe there is anything else like it in NJ. Don’t delay… take a class. You won’t be sorry!
